Infos
What will happen? Hopefully a nice weekend trip with concerts, raves, workshops, theater and slushies the lake (which is a little walk but still very beautiful). There will also be glory nails, printing and other smaller and bigger attractions you can look forward to. All this at Kuhlmühle. A place for a great rave but also a lot of space to hangout and exchange. Awareness and the well-being of all people at the festival are a main concern for us.
Location
The Break and Error Festival 2025 will take place in Kuhlmühle, surrounded by forest and lake. The venue offers plenty of space, so you can easily step away from the action and find some peace in the woods.
Address:
Kuhlmühlerstr. 17, 16909 Wittstock
Whether you’re coming by bike, car, or public transport, check the directions under the respective sections below. Finding the place can be a bit tricky the first time due to its hidden location.

Train
If you don’t have the Deutschlandticket:
From Berlin or Brandenburg, the Brandenburg-Berlin Ticket is your best option: valid for up to 5 people from 9:00 AM on all regional and Interregio trains as well as Berlin’s U-Bahn and S-Bahn for €33. It’s also valid before 9:00 AM on weekends.
The ticket is valid to Neustrelitz, even though it’s technically in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
From Hamburg, use the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Ticket or the Schleswig-Holstein Ticket. For others across Germany, check out the Deutsche Bahn „Quer-durchs-Land-Ticket“.
From Wittstock, there’s an hourly bus. We’re also organizing local and private shuttles. You’ll find info at the station and on Instagram.

Bike + Train to Kuhlmühle
If you’re combining train and bike, take the train to Wittstock. From there it’s around 17 km to the location via Berlinchen. The last part of the ride has no bike path, but barely any traffic.
By Car or Camper
Use GPS to navigate – see the address above under „Location“.

Camping
There’s plenty of space for tents and campers.
The camper area is about a 10-minute walk from the main site — nice and quiet. You’re welcome to bring foldable or regular bikes. The route will be well signposted. No electricity or water hookups available.
The tent area is located directly on the festival grounds. Unfortunately, cars can’t be parked there. The parking lot is also about 10 minutes away. We’re still checking if you’ll be able to drive closer to unload. More info coming soon — or at the latest on arrival.

Food & Drinks
There will be a KÜFA (kitchen for all) again! We’re still finalizing the details — stay tuned.
There will also be several food stalls with tasty treats.
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Still, we’d appreciate it if you support our bars and kiosks to reduce waste — everything is fairly priced.

Lake & Sauna
The festival site is located right by a lake, with its own access and programming.
Please be mindful and look out for one another when swimming. Ideally, there will be trained lifeguards on site.
The sauna near the lake will be open during specific times. Please be respectful when using it and take care of yourself and others.
The entire lake area requires attention and care. For more, see our Safer Space Policy. The Awareness Team is available for you at all times.

Showers
Showers are available — but the lake is lovely too, and saving water is cool.
Cash
Don’t forget to bring enough cash! There’s no ATM or card payment option in Kuhlmühle.
Children
The festival is 18+. We may check IDs and ask people to leave if necessary. Children, even if accompanied by parents, are not allowed — this includes crew members.
Trash / Deposit
Please keep the site clean and take your trash with you!
The same goes for your bottles or glass containers — bring them back out with you if you brought them in.
